PRIVATE CLUB SERVER DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage Service REPORTS TO: General Manager LOCATION: The Perlant, Atlanta PAY RATE: $8.00/hr + Tip Pool Share The Perlant is a private social club rooted in wine. We are building a community for our members through shared experiences and exceptional food, wine and hospitality The Perlant Server plays an integral role in our service team and will be key to setting the tone for the space and our members’ experience. With a deep-rooted understanding of hospitality, an enthusiasm for food and wine, and a keen ability to multi-manage, we are looking for an experienced professional to join our team and execute the highest level of service in our space. POSITION SUMMARY:A Fine Dining Server is a key ambassador of the guest experience at The Perlant. This individual is responsible for delivering attentive, refined, and personalized service to members and their guests in an elevated dining environment. With a strong understanding of food, wine, and hospitality etiquette, the Fine Dining Server ensures every interaction upholds the standards and values of a premier private club.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Guest Service: Greet members and guests by name, creating a warm and personalized welcome. Deliver attentive, discreet, and highly responsive service throughout the dining experience. Anticipate guest needs and preferences; accommodate dietary restrictions and special requests with professionalism. Maintain a polished, poised demeanor while communicating clearly and courteously with guests. Dining Service: Present menus and daily specials with confidence and clarity. Offer thoughtful recommendations on food, wine, and cocktail pairings. Execute proper service techniques for food and beverage delivery in alignment with fine dining standards. Maintain awareness of table pacing and ensure each course is timed seamlessly. Food and Beverage Knowledge: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and culinary details.Stay informed on seasonal offerings, beverage program updates, and wine cellar selections. Confidently describe the origins, profiles, and pairings of featured food and beverage items. Presentation and Cleanliness: Set and maintain dining tables according to club service standards, ensuring precise placement of tableware, linens, and glassware.Uphold cleanliness and overall appearance of the dining room before, during, and after service. Maintain professional grooming, uniform, and appearance at all times. Team Collaboration: Coordinate closely with the culinary team, sommeliers, and fellow servers to ensure smooth, unified service. Assist in mentoring and training new servers or support staff to maintain service consistency.Support special events and private functions in collaboration with the events and banquet teams. Operational Duties: Accurately take orders and transmit them to kitchen and bar teams. Process payments and manage member billing discreetly and with accuracy. Assist with managing reservation flow, seating assignments, and table turns. Adhere to all club policies and comply with food safety and sanitation regulations. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES – SERVER CAPTAIN DUTIES: Leading shift activities by directing service flow and team coordination throughout the dining period. Overseeing opening, running, and closing side work to ensure consistency and operational readiness. Holding team members accountable by reporting any instances of underperformance that do not align with the club’s Standards of Service. Supporting management by reinforcing service expectations and maintaining a professional, team-first culture on the floor. SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES ENCOURAGED: Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a fine dining, luxury hospitality, or private club setting is strongly preferred. Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Product Knowledge: Working knowledge of food, wine, and beverage pairings; formal training or certifications are a plus. Professionalism: Commitment to excellence in service, etiquette, and guest engagement.Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in a high-end, member-driven environment. TRAINING & PERFORMANCE DISCLAIMER: All Front-of-House team members are required to attend weekly training and education sessions as part of their continued development. To ensure service standards are consistently upheld, The Perlant conducts periodic knowledge assessments and secret shops. These evaluations help measure each team member’s understanding of our offerings and commitment to excellence. Please note: failure to attend required trainings or to demonstrate sufficient knowledge through written or verbal assessments may result in formal documentation and, if necessary, termination. This reflects a lack of alignment with the performance standards and core values of The Perlant Service Team. COMPENSATION STRUCTURE: In addition to an hourly wage, The Perlant operates as a 100% pooled house, where teamwork is essential to our service philosophy. All gratuities are combined and distributed based on a weighted average, calculated by hours worked per shift. This ensures every team member shares in the success of providing an exceptional experience to our members. Based in Atlanta with an Office/Club environment. Ability to lift wine cases and bottles up to 40 lbs. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
